Hello friends, I’m Amanda R DeWitt! I’m a teacher, writer, cat mom, wife and a life-long learner.

A little about me…

-I’m a 32 year old COLLEGE GRADUATE (yes, this is exciting) in Elementary Education with an emphasis in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). I went back to school at the age of 29 and I couldn’t be happier with my decision, and my story.

-I am currently employed with Papillion La Vista Public Schools as a 5th Grade Teacher. It’s the hardest but most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

-I’ve been sharing my life on the internet since 2010 fueled by a love for writing and inspiring others. I even blogged semi-full-time for five years on my food and fitness blog. While I don’t blog as much as I used to, I still enjoy writing the occasional post AND helping others start their own blogs. (check out some happy blog customers below)

-I’m an INFJ personality which is also known as “the advocate.” INFJ personalities are pretty rare; they “tend to see helping others as their purpose in life…and get[ting] to the heart of the issue so that people need not be rescued at all” (I know, brag). Strengths include creativity, determination, and altruism. On the other hand, they tend to be perfectionists, can be a little sensitive, intense in their beliefs, and may burn out if they aren’t careful. INFJ personalities need to “find meaning in their work.” I think this all really makes sense for teaching.
